Yarn Friends Tapestry Crochet – Pattern

Well #yarnfriendsrock has gotten off to an amazing start!!  September is proving to be a great month so far.  The yarn community online is a lovely group of people.  I have been overwhelmed with the messages and comments from people who are enjoying taking part in the challenge.  Tomorrow is day three, what made me yarny.   I will be sharing my first attempt at tapestry crochet, sneak peak as the picture is below.  It is not my best work, the corners are not straight and the bottom could do with being a little looser but I am so pleased that it is possible to tell what it is and I plan to hang it up on a beautiful bit of drift wood that has been waiting for something like this.  I used stitch fiddle to make the graphgan and have added a link here

For this evenings blog post I am quickly sharing the pattern above and also wanted to record it on my blog incase I want to try again in the future.

I used the Hobbycraft Cotton Blend Plain yarn in Mustard and Coral (sorry I can’t find the link for Coral online).  The yarn is DK and a 50% cotton 50% acrylic blend.  The colours are much more vibrant in person but I took this photo at night time.   I am sure I will be sharing daylight picture on Instagram, pop over and have a look https://www.instagram.com/unicornpuffsandrainbows/
