We are extremely lucky to live in York. It is a tricky task to decide my favourites but I wanted to share a little of what I love about living in this beautiful city.
Different parts of York get my vote depending on the time of year. On a dry bright day there is nothing better than a picnic in museum gardens. It has to be followed by an icecream.
A must is a stroll by the shambles market, an amazing coffee to be had and beautiful flowers to buy. Leading onto the shambles it is a stunning part of the city. The architecture is breath taking.
Spark is a great place to meet friends for a drink. There is a selection of places to eat and I love the atmosphere.
Another superb eatery is the larder club. In the shadows of the minster they have a delicious menu. I love the window seats and watching the world go past.
The castle museum is a next to Clifford tower. we have been several times and always find something new. Well worth checking out.
