I was invited to the Bump and Baby expo on Sunday by Avocado Events. As I am not pregnant and 👧🏻 is ten I initially was unsure what there would be for me however, I am so pleased I went along to find out.
The event was at York Race Course so there was plenty of on site free parking. Inside the area was big and bright with plenty of room for everyone.
The first 100 people got a goody bag so the queue was out of the door already when I arrived at ten o’clock. It was a lovely sunny day. People came on their own, with partners and parents. I had anticipated that it would be mums attending with mum friends but the event was full of lots of people.
Once inside there were lots of local companies with all sorts of products. There was a lot of things for young children and new parents but also lots to see for a mum of an older child. It is always great to meet the people behind the business and I love that they were all local to me.
There were companies selling both products and services. Everything from legal services to ceramic painting. The expo has a range of local brands, it is always good to see products first hand and to be able to see the quality. The expo also had several demonstrations and discussions about which would be the best fit. There was no pressure selling just company owners who were passionate about their products.
There were several speakers – I have blogged about the honest mum and mums back here. Honest Mum and Mums Back blog There was also a cafe. Always grateful to find coffee!!
It was a great morning out. As part of attending the event there were blogger goody bags which was crammed full of loveliness. I have been to many events since beginning my Instagram account and this one was noticeably the best organised. The information before, joining instructions and then on the day. It all went really smoothly. You could tell a lot of time had gone into making sure it was a great day for everyone.
Thank you so much to Avocado Events for inviting me. You can find Avocado Events on all social media. Here is their Facebook Avocado Events they have lots of events. There is one coming up with the cookery school that looks amazing.
